ESF Partnership Events
The ESF web site for the new programme is now available and bookings can now be taken for the partnership events in Kent and Medway on 8 and 9 May. For further information and to book a place please go to http://www.esf2008-2011-se.org.uk/ provider events.
There will be 80 places available at each of the two Kent and Medway events, one place per organisation, and it is hoped that voluntary and community organisations with capacity in the type of activities to be funded will take a significant number of the places in order to promote partnership development.
A March edition of the South East ESF Newsletter will be available shortly.
The content of the workshops will include the following:
- Update on the new ESF programme by the area ESF manager.
- Rationale for partnership working within the regional planning framework.
- Outline of different partnership models, e.g. compact and dispersed, with examples of each.
- Case study of effective partnerships, with relevant examples from providers in the region.
- Characteristics of effective partnerships, including role definition, skills mix, leadership, communication and relationships.
- Arrangements for making partnerships work, including protocols, service level agreements, financial management, performance monitoring and conflict resolution.
- Next steps, including timescale for the bidding process and support for partnership building.
The format of the workshops will include the following:
- Input from the ESF area managers, Mindset facilitators and case study providers.
- Plenary question and answer sessions.
- Participatory group work (with plenary feedback where appropriate).
- Networking opportunities in breaks.
Each day will start at 10.00 and end at 15.30.
